After undertaking a mentoring programme with Women In Jazz and securing Arts Council DYCP funding to improve my composition skills I'm very proud to introduce you to my EP Below The Line.
Track 1 - To Survive
The central meaning of this song explores the idea that some people need to create a version of themselves to be able to cope with life that isn't necessarily who they truly are.
Track 2 - Below The Line
The title track of the EP was born from thinking about my own struggles with my mental health. There is often a very thin line between being well and falling below the line to a more difficult place.
Track 3 - Healing
I wrote this song after a conversation with a friend who wasn't doing so well. It's my acknowledgement of her difficult situation.
Track 4 - You Brought Me Home
This song celebrates that person or activity in your life that can help you when you aren't feeling the greatest and need a bit of support.
Hope you enjoy listening.
